The food here is good and inexpensive. 4 for each quesadilla. I got the papa chorizo and chicharron. Both were delicious!

Try the quesadillas chicharon prensado. This place is so good!! You need to open up a place in the north side San Antonio

They have a variety of quesedillas to choose from. It's unique but a nice place spot to chill out and enjoy the food with a Mexican Coke.

My family and I went to Las Quekas for dinner because and a family friend recommended it to my husband so we decided to give it a try. We ordered from the drive thru and OH MY GOODNESS!!!! It was so delicious!!!! Each of us had something different. My daughter had La tinga de pollo, my husband had chicharron prensado, rajas con queso y flor de calabaza con queso. I had the rajas con queso and the flor de calabaza con queso. We were all impressed. They’re huge so I was satisfied with the two that I ordered. The corn tortilla is homemade and not from a package and it’s not fried. I didn’t taste the chicharron or la tinta de pollo, but the two I had were so flavorful and I couldn’t get enough of the salsa. So, stop by and give it a try!

I love getting away to eat quesadillas at this place. A lot of our quesadilla restaurants in SA closed down, and I’m so glad we still have this one. It is a small restaurant with limited seating, but it’s so worth it. It has about five tables and some counter space, but the quesadillas are so good that people eat fast and leave, so the table turn around is pretty fast. Their salsas are yummy!! One is a red Chile salsa (chile rojo) and one is a Habanero salsa!! They both taste great. The tortillas they used are a little hard, but they taste delicious. We tried the shredded beef, and that one was my favorite. We tried the Chicken cooked on Chipotle sauce, and that one was my second favorite. My third favorite was the Flor de Calabaza. That one has a lot of flavor. I usually love Rajas Poblanas wherever we go, but it wasn’t one of my favorites here. It needed more cheese. The bean and cheese is pretty good. The beans are black beans. I’ve had better beans, but it does the trick. The mushroom one is pretty good, too. All of them will require salt after you add the salsa. The environment is a cute humble place but clean and pretty neat. It has lots of color with a map on the wall of all the locations in Texas and Mexico. I liked it. I liked the one near HEB that closed called Las Quesadillas, but this one at least is around if you’re craving quesadillas. I do think they need to work on the recipe for the tortillas to make them softer. Mine were a little hard. One was even harder because it tasted like burnt tortillas because it became crispy on the sides, so that one was a little harder. All in all, I recommend this place and would definitely return to it. It is on the south side of SA, so it may be too far for many of you.

This place is doing it right! Me and my family took a trip to Guanajuato last year and found a restaurant that only served quesadillas coffee and atole. And Las Quekas reminds me of that. Authentic home made mexican food. I was surprised to see a restaurant offer quesadillas de flor de calabaza because my grandmother was the only person I knew that would make that. This would be my first time trying a sope de chicharron and man it was so delicious! Please do yourself a favor and come check this place out. They have drive thru also.
